This is the place for chicken and waffles. The cafe itself has been around for 15 years and nothing much has changed, especially keeping in with its traditional decor. Their famous dish is chicken and waffles, which is deep fried chicken wings served with sweet (hint of cinnamon) waffles. The deep fried chicken wings are to die for, as they are fried to perfection, the tender chicken meat falls from the bones with ease when you bite into them. The flavour is something else too, but don’t forget the hot sauce and syrup for the waffles. To accompany this dish you get complimentary corn bread, and for drinks, the “muddy water” is highly recommended, which is made from traditional lemonade mixed with iced tea. It is worth noting this dish isn’t actually on the menu, but it is advertised as their daily special on their windows.
