Stainless steel nail clippers from the French manufacturer Vitry. The company (family) itself stems from the 18th Century, when the Vitry family, after the French Revolution, bought a monastery that had manufactured surgical instruments. Throughout the early nineteeth century, Vitry became famous for manufacturing nail clippers and supplier to many royal families. In the mid 90s Vitry launched a range of manicure and pedicure equipment that were exclusively sold in select pharmaceuticals (chemists). Till this day the Vitry factory operates in Nogent, France.
